Ruinas, entre la modernidad y la posmodernidad

Abstract

The contemporary world seems to be divided into two di erent attitudes around the concept of ruins. On one hand, there is a true cult for the ruins with a clear poli- tical purpose and, on the other hand, a denial of its condition as it would go against the very precepts of modernity. What we want to examine here, is how these two attitudes manifest themselves in the current world and how they coexist within the framework of the postmodern culture.
